OLD BUSINESS

A discussion was held regarding the front lighting. The board plans to purchase lighting for the front entrance. After the lighting fixtures are purchases, Harry will contact an electrician who has offered to install them..

Harry volunteered to send a letter to the real estate agency representing a Malletwood house for sale to let them know that the dues have not been paid.

The board expects to soon send out the late payment notices for annual dues that have not been paid.

We are in need of a secretary. If you know someone who would be willing to volunteer a little of their time performing light secretarial duties, please contact the board by email or U.S. mail.

Emails:

We received an email from a homeowner on Sandywood that stated there’s a problem with someone riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers in a long retention pond that is on the north side of her property that runs from Seffner Valrico Rd westward encompassing several properties that are a part of Lakemont Hills and Wellington. We are advising her to get a letter signed by the homeowners whose property comprise the retention pond and send this letter to code enforcement. It has been disclosed that a resident has given permission for the off-road vehicles to be operated in this area. If this is the case, this resident did the community a disservice by not considering the adjoining residents who have to suffer as a result of the noise of these vehicles. The letter should then empower code enforcement and/or the sheriff’s department to put a stop to it.

The date and time for the next meeting was proposed for May 1, with a back up date of May 8. Tom then contacted the staff at the Community Center who only had May 15, the 3rd Tuesday open.
